  • Do you have an age policy?

We believe that when families socialise together, it is good for the relationships within the family, it is good for the development of children (particularly when they are able to experience live music) and it is good for the wider community, because a true community is comprised of all people of all ages. We know that other European countries include children very naturally in their evening culture, and we believe that turning families away because they have children with them, is discriminatory, and we operate a strict non-discrimination policy in all areas of our practices.

  • Do you have a behaviour policy?

Inside The Sound Lounge and particularly during events we ask that all people of all ages, respect our environment and respect the performances. We show respect to the performers by actively listening and keeping conversation for breaks. In return we guarantee that you will come away from an evening of live music feeling enriched and inspired.

We reserve the right to ask any person not respecting our behaviour policy, to leave the premises.

  • What is Fair Frets?

Our Fair Frets project has been created in partnership with master luthier David Bourne. David has made guitars for some of the most famous guitarists in the world (inluding Jimmy Page and Joan Armatrading) and for some of the most prestigious guitar brands (including Martin Guitars, where he was Head Warranty Repairer for the company Europe-wide).

Through this project we have been taking dis-used, broken and unwanted instruments which have been donated to us, as well as sourcing custom hardware and pick-ups, to create guitars which are individually crafted to the highest standard and which are, each one, completely unique
