We are proud to be the UK's very first CarbonNeutral® certified grassroots music venue as of 1st July 2021!

Achieving carbon neutral status was important to us because we always set out to do something meaningful mostly through music and food, but we understood that we can't claim to be making a positive impact on people around us if we are actually causing harm...even if it's in an indirect way.

Our certified CarbonNeutral® company status means that every time you come and eat or drink with us, your experience is an ethical, sustainable one, which is peace of mind for you.

Our accreditation is only a small part of what we are doing to reduce our environmental impact. Here is a list of the other measures we are taking:

Our menu is 100% plant-based and seasonal/in sync with the planet 💚

Our energy is from 100% renewable sources 💚

We send zero waste to landfill 💚

Our beer is brewed locally only 4.5 miles away 💚

Our wine range is completely carbon neutral 💚

Our tea comes from a local, solar powered tea plant and is carbon neutral 💚

Our cleaning products are non-toxic, gentle on the planet & plastic free 💚

We have created a small allotment garden for zero-carbon produce (grown in organic, peat-free soil) for our menu 💚

Our furniture is all up-cycled, reused, vintage, not new 💚

All our food waste is either composted in our little garden or recycled by a local 100% green waste company 💚

We have used Graphenstone paint in our garden which is non-toxic & actively absorbs carbon (approx. 5.5kg of carbon/15litres) 💚

Our packaging is 100% compostable & recyclable 💚

We provide a high-quality stage backline, reducing the need for artists to transport heavy music equipment to use for their performances, and to encourage the use of public transport 💚

Our subscription packages are delivered via our very own e-cargo bikes 💚

Our Mr Fitz Aqua Spritz soft drinks are cordials made with chilled, filtered still or sparkling water on tap on-site, cutting single-serve bottle waste by 90% 💚

We have eliminated 100% of single-serve bottled water 💚

Our urinals are water-free and our toilet cisterns are water-saving 💚

All of our lighting (including stage lighting) is LED & toilet lights are on motion sensors to reduce energy-use 💚

Our PA system is Class D amplified (up to 85% more efficient than class AB amplifiers).

Our staff all travel to work by foot, bicycle or public transport 💚
